When Conor and Hannah approached me about shooting their engagement session at Milan Puskar Stadium, I immediately was excited to try out a new location that holds so many memories not only for this couple, but for myself as well. I am a WVU grad, and the date of this session was only a few days before both Conor and Hannah became WVU grads as well!
Conor happens to be the younger brother of one of my college roommates, sorority sisters, and former bridesmaids, so when he asked me to shoot his engagement session I was very honored to take on the task! From meeting Conor in the past through his sister, I knew he and his fiance Hannah would be a lot of fun to work with and up for any ideas that I had, which always takes some pressure off of me while planning sessions. We did not do a pre-session consultation in person (just chatted via phone) before the session since we had already met, but getting to know the couple before a session makes a HUGE difference in the session and is why I always offer to get together with my couples in person prior to my shoots. This allows us to meet up as friends on the day of the session and get right to shooting, rather than taking more time to get to know each other and "warm-up" to the situation.
During our session we had the stadium pretty much to ourselves and were able to explore many different areas. We started on the field, then moved to the location where Conor's family's season tickets are located, followed by a few other spots that hold meaning to the couple. I had a great time shooting at the stadium and just love all of the images from this engagement session. We even took a few "top secret" photos for Conor and Hannah's save the date cards, which I hope to share in the future, once their guests have all seen!
Conor and Hannah: congratulations again on your engagement and thank you for choosing me to document your engagement photos!
